I then decided that the suspension control, compressor and air tank would be built in a suitable suitcase. The picture already shows the almost finished result. The story continues below the picture.

To attach the parts to the suitcase , a chipboard frame was made. The partitions provide a suitable air circulation to the compressor and also slightly improve the sound insulation at the same time.
The car’s central locking system is updated at the same time with the W124’s central locking parts, the pump is placed in the same suitcase. Now the central locking should work in the future even after weeks of standing.

The frame was upholstered in faux leather, just for looks. After all, it’s better that way! In picture you can see also the condensate drain valve and water separator in the tank. At this point, the system was also tested for leaks and on the whole subject. A few joints leaked a bit. After the correction, the pressure in the system remained unchanged for day periods. The operating pressure of the system is quite high at about 10-11 bar.
