The W109’s original air suspension control is highly functional and precise. It also has two driving heights and you can easily “tune” the heights as you prefer .

The only problem with steering is that its repairs are hopelessly expensive. Repairs require special parts and experience. Several articles have been written on the web. I myself have had two W109s and both with leaking valves.

The intention is now to upgrade the W109 to a newer, electronic control that takes care of everything, including pressure and compressor control. The steering should have multiple heights and should be easy to use.

The hardware was selected as the 3H series from “Air Lift Performance”. Its benefits were: a complete installation kit with sensors, five programmable drive modes and the ability to operate the system evenwith a phone App a good possibility to hide everything .
